After tonight’s performance, (which happened to be press night) we asked many of the audience members about their opinions on the performance. Comments were positive;

“Absolutely fantastic, inspiring, creative. I loved every second,” to quote Jaen

“Very good, interesting, innovative,” said Maria, as did many of the people questioned.

Many people referenced different parts of the play.

“The ending was good, and I really connected with the characters,” said Becky Wallace.

We also managed to grab a quick chat with the show’s writer, Frank Cottrell - Boyce on his thoughts about his scripted creation come to life. “Well, it’s a relief more than anything,” he joked. “It was very good, the acting was outstanding, and the incorporation of the multimedia effects was amazing.” When we asked him if he had any advice for budding writers, he answered; “Draw inspiration from real life, for example I took inspiration from the Everyman Youth Theatre for certain aspects of the play. But most importantly, work hard and just enjoy it, don’t be afraid to be creative.” Frank certaintly seemed pleased to see his play created so well.

All in all, judging from the comments we heard, it was a night enjoyed by all.
